Ultraspazio Coworking, ex headquartier del Cementificio Buzzi, ospita la mostra personale di Enzo Cacciola, che per l’occasione presenta al pubblico un’installazione di grandi dimensioni composta da 38 pezzi 40×40 cm eseguiti con cemento Buzzi nanodur grigio e bianco su tela, per uno sviluppo di 6×2 m. Questa sarà affiancata da altre tre opere di uguale natura in varie dimensioni, composte l’una di 2 e le altre rispettivamente di 4 e 6 elementi e da dodici tele libere di dimensioni 60×60 cm, realizzate nell’Agosto 2017, a Cuba, sempre con cemento Buzzi.
I lavori saranno posti a confronto con alcuni quadri in cemento su tela degli anni Settanta, periodo in cui l’artista ha iniziato ad utilizzare materiali industriali per le sue realizzazioni.
La scelta della location è stata determinata dalla volontà di inserire le opere in un contesto effettuale e concreto di realtà lavorativa, in ragione sia della congenialità col processo produttivo all’origine di questo tipo di operazione artistica, sia dell’effetto di straniamento provocato rispetto ai luoghi istituzionalmente deputati alle esposizioni d’arte.
Durante l’esposizione sarà disponibile un catalogo delle opere che, fra l’altro, documenta il processo operativo dell’artista.
